 ॥ दत्तमंगलचण्डिकास्तोत्रम् ॥

DattaMangalChandika Stotram

I have already published a post in Hindi about the meaning of DattaMangalChandika Stotra. Here I'm posting the precise meaning of DattaMangalChandika Stotra in English.

In the 31st chapter of MaatruVatsaltaVindaanam we read this stotra. As we know that DattaMangalChandika is the eighth avataar of Aadimata MahishaasuraMardini Chandika.

Dattamangalchandika also has eighteen arms, but none of these hands carried a weapon. The nine arms on Her right held nine kinds of blessings and the nine on Her left bore nine curses.

Her
blessing holding nine hands bestow forgiveness, secureness and freedom from fear for Shraddhaavaans and boons for the ShreeGurubhakta. Her nine hands holding curse meant to infix fear in the minds of Shraddhaaheens and failure for those who are having enmity in their minds for  Shreegurubhaktas.

Shreegurubhakti i.e. Dattatreyabhakti salvages man in the period of Kaliyug. That Shreegurubhakti is the heart of Dattamangalchandika. She blessed both Her Sons i.e. Dattaatreyaji & Parashuraamji and disappeared.

Then ShreeGuru Dattaatreyaji put his hand on Parashuraamji's head and bestowed blessings to Parashuraamji for His mission. With the grace of ShreeGuru, now Parashuraamji started reciting DattaMangalChandika Stotra.

The precise meaning of DattaMangalChandika Stotra (Hymn)

The twenty-letter mantra ('Om Hrim Shrim....Swaha') is sacred and like a KalpaVriksha to the devotees which fulfills all holy desires. This mantra gets siddha after chanting it for million times. (Those who receive the mantra from Sadguru, for them, there is no need to prove the mantra.) 1-3 Verses

After the first three verses, ShreeDattaMangalChandika's Dhyaan is described. In that description some difficult words are- षोडशवर्षीया, शश्वत्‌-सुस्थिर-यौवना, सर्वरूपगुणाढ्या, श्वेतचम्पकवर्णाभा, वह्नि-शुद्ध-अंशुक-आधाना, बिभ्रतीं कबरीभारं, मल्लिकामाल्यभूषित, विम्बोष्ठीं, सुदतीं, शरद्‌-पद्मनिभ- आनना, ईषद्‌-हास्य-प्रसन्न-आस्या, सुनील-उत्पल-लोचना, जगद्‌-धात्रीं, पोतरूपा etc.

सुनील-उत्पल-लोचना- Her eyes are like blue lotus.

जगद्‌-धात्रीं- She cherishes, nourishes, feeds the whole world. She holds the control, the maintenance, the balance of the universe.

पोतरूपा- She is the ship to cross this worldly ocean.

I bow to the Supreme Goddess DattaMangalaChandika.

We must bring DattaMangalChandika before the eyes of the mind while chanting her stotra.

From the Tenth verse, the form of DattaMangalChandika is described. She is The Mother, The Savior, The one who eliminates all sorts of problems, does favorable for Shraddhaavaans, whose presence is auspicious. She was worshiped on Tuesdays by ancestors. She fulfills our household & spiritual needs. The one who just listens to this stotra, then the one who recites it with love, will definitely get Her grace, mercy etc.

This sacred stotra of the MaatruVaatsalyaVindaanam makes Shraddhavaan's SadguruBhakti more & more intense. It also meets the household & spiritual needs of Shraddhavaans.

Shraddhaavaan has to chant this stotra as many times as possible in this Kaliyug to concrete the Gurubhakti.

May  DattaMangalChandika bless and protect us. Oh Mother, always be gracious to us. We are Ambajna.
